PA310 digital power meter carries out a number of optimized low-power measurements with brand new design architecture. It can measure the minimum current as low as 50μA, as well as the power consumption as low as 0.01W, which complies with the international standards (IEC62301, Energy Star and SPECpower).
Ensure high-accuracy measurement in low power factor
PA300 series digital power meter uses 100MHz synchronous clock, and provides up to 500KS/s sampling rate and up to 0.01°phase angle resolution. It can still ensure 0.1% high measurement accuracy even in the power factor as low as 0.0005.
Harmonics measurement compliant with IEC61000-4-7 international standard
PA300 series power meter can conduct harmonics measurement which fully complies with the international standard IEC61000-4-7. According to the fundamental frequency, the harmonics up to 50th order can be measured.

High-efficiency visual data analysis software
PAM management software has powerful data processing and analyzing capability, which supports the real-time display of all measured parameter values and generates each harmonics data, harmonics histograms, trend graphs and waveform graphs. It also supports simultaneous display and report export, and complies with IEC62301 international testing standard, realizing automated testing of standby power consumption.
5 core technique to ensure 0.1% accuracy
For the wide range from 5mA to 20A, using a single shunt may cause problems such as high temperature drift and low measurement accuracy. Therefore, PA300 series digital power meter adopts dual shunt technique to maintain the steady-state change of shunt resistor temperature, thus reducing the temperature drift and achieving the accuracy of 0.1% from low current to high current measurement.
PA300 series digital power meter uses a 100MHz synchronous sampling clock to guarantee the ADC sampling phase synchronization of each element and the error margin of less than 10ns. In addition, it reduces errors caused by the included angles between U and I during measurement and guarantees the measurement accuracy of active power and power factor.
The fore-end conditioning circuit effectively solves the problems such as temperature drift and noise. Furthermore, it uses a 16-bit ADC to acquire analog voltage and current at high speed, guaranteeing the correctness of original signals.
Both voltage and current elements use dedicated shielding isolation technique and the 120dB CMRR between isolated elements ensures the minimum interference between elements. During the test, the measurement for any position or any point can be conducted at random independent of the zero potential of the measured system, ensuring an independent measurement of each element.
Operation is needed for large volume data after acquisition. Generally, other brand of power meters use ARM processor or DSP to execute computation directly; however, due to huge data throughout, it is impossible for a single ARM processor or DSP to realize real-time processing. PA300 series power meter is provided with the FPGA+DSP design architecture in which FPGA is used for co-processing operation and realizes real-time measuring and processing in combination with DSP.
