The ZM470SX series module is an industrial RF wireless product developed independently by Guangzhou ZHIYUAN Electronics Co., Ltd. The module adopts a design with LoRa modulation technology originating from military tactical communications systems, and solves the ultra-long distance communication problem of a small amount of data in a complex environment.

Compared with conventional modulation technology, the ZM470SX module also has obvious advantages in terms of co-channel interference suppression, and strikes a balance between distance, anti-interference and power consumption, which can not be achieved by the conventional solutions. In addition, the module is integrated with a +20-dBm adjustable power amplifier to obtain a receiving sensitivity of over -148dBm, and its link budget reaches the industry-leading level. Therefore, this module becomes the best choice for the applications with long-distance communication and high reliability requirements.

Up to -148dBm Receiving Sensitivity

Multiple Adjustable Transmitting Power Levels
The module is integrated with a +20dBm power amplifier and provides multiple adjustable power levels ranging from 5 to 20dBm@Step 1dB. Additionally, users can adjust the signal coverage freely according to actual applications.
Flexible and Adjustable Spreading Factor
The module can achieve better balance among communication rate, transmission distance, and anti-interference characteristics by adjusting the spreading factor (6 to 12), modulation bandwidth, error correction rate, and other variables. Moreover, at fixed transmitting power,

the higher the spreading factor is, the higher the receiving sensitivity of the module is and the farther the communication distance is; however, the communication rate will be reduced.

Excellent Anti-interference Characteristics
The LoRa modem integrates spread spectrum modulation and excellent forward error correction technology. It can even extract data from the noise (negative signal- noise ratio). Compared with conventional FSK or OOK modulation technology, it greatly improves the robustness of links.
Supporting Multiple Low Power Consumption Operating Modes
Users can enable and disable the internal functional components of the module freely. The module supports multiple sleep and standby modes and ensures better balance between power consumption and performance.
Module Interface Resources
The ZM470SX series module connects the slave device and the user MCU via the SPI interface. The antenna is led out from a module pin, and different antennae can be connected according to user needs. The module is not equipped with the antenna by default.

If the antenna with a nonstandard interface is used, please make sure that it should match the product shell and structure. If necessary, please contact ZHIYUAN Electronics to carry out the matching and debugging test in the RF simulation laboratory.

Complying with ISM Free Frequency Band Standards
The module supports a frequency range of 410~525MHz, covering internationally licensed free frequency band.
Supporting Multiple Modulation Modes
In addition to LoRa spread spectrum modulation, the module also supports other standard modulation modes such as FSK, GFSK, MSK, GMSK, and OOK, which can be switched each other in the sleep mode. The combination of these modes can achieve the long- distance modulation and the use of standard FSK or OOK modulation techniques.
