10M vehicle Ethernet converter

With the widespread application of the centralized architecture combining central computing and regional control, most of the network nodes in the vehicle have a bandwidth of 10 Mbit/s. The traditional CAN and CAN FD buses no longer meet the requirements, and the 100-Megabit on-board Ethernet cannot meet the needs of low cost and bus-type topology. Against this backdrop, IEEE released the 802.3cg protocol in 2019 [1], aiming to define 10BASE-T1 at the protocol level, supporting the Ethernet to enter the edge nodes, in order to meet this new demand.

ZLG Zhiyuan Electronics has launched the VBNET-10U, a multi-functional 10BASE-T1S vehicle Ethernet device. It supports data conversion between 10BASE-T1S and 100BASE-TX Ethernet, can simulate 10BASE-T1S network nodes, and can be directly connected to a PC for network analysis using ZXDoc or Wireshark. It is mainly used for the development and testing of 10BASE-T1S communication in automotive and industrial systems.

The PLCA mechanism, with a bus-type topology for direct connection, enables support for 8 nodes without the need for a switch. By using VBNET-10U to connect PCs, you can easily obtain the bus data.

Supports TC10 sleep-wake function, enabling more power-saving during debugging

VBNET-10U supports TC10 sleep-wake function. The device can enter sleep mode as needed to save power and wake up when necessary to perform the corresponding operations.
